Making Ideas Happen
“Ideas are worthless if you can’t make them happen.”  The process of turning your ideas into reality takes organisation, execution, communal forces, and leadership. For several years  jonathanmoore  has been a part of the  Behance community and followed the evolution of Behance lead by Scott Belsky from a product line, to a consultancy, creative network, productivity web application, thought leader, conference, and now a book.
Re-blogedfrom jonathanmoore who is anticipating this book to be one of the most valuable books he reads this year. Judging from the exciting things I have discovered on his blog by just page 2, I am defiantly taking his word on it.
Many of us believe that great ideas inevitably lead to success. Nothing could be further from the truth. Whether it is the perfect solution for an everyday problem or a bold new concept for a creative masterpiece, you must transform vision into reality for an idea to have value.
This book chronicles the methods of exceptionally productive creative leaders and teams – companies like Google, IDEO, and Disney, and individuals like author Chris Anderson and Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh – that make their ideas happen, time and time again.

The British Journal of Photography has recently reinvented itself as a high quality monthly. I have to say I was a little dubious when I heard the news as I was a big fan of its weekly format. However, two months on I can confirm it has been a positive change as each issue is chocked full of high quality, original features and extended news and review articles. Essential reading for aspiring and pro photographers alike.

This is in my top 5 fav. books ever!  I came across it while studying design in Glasgow -It totally revolutionised my ideas.  The book proffers a paradigm shift from what we take for granted in our every day lives. Using nature as a model it highlights how ecologically intelligent design can save us all yet! Essential reading.

I am a big fan of London-based photographers Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin - they have been collaborating for more than a decade. Their work on Colors magazine was very inspiring, such a great blend of documentary and fine art practice.

Diane Arbus (March 14, 1923 – July 26, 1971) was an American photographer and writer. Her work often focused on people on the fringe of society.
“I work from awkwardness. By that I mean I don’t like to arrange things. If I stand in front of something, instead of arranging it, I arrange myself.”
